Special issue submissions follow standard JGRC peer review processes with additional coordination by guest editors. When submitting to a special issue, clearly indicate the special issue title in your cover letter and submission form. Guest editors work with our editorial team to evaluate manuscripts for thematic fit and scientific quality.

Special issue timelines vary by collection. After acceptance, articles are published online promptly and compiled into the complete special issue upon collection completion. Early accepted articles receive full visibility before the complete issue publishes.

Standard APC rates apply to special issue submissions. Some special issues may offer discounted rates—check the specific call for papers for details. Waiver requests are considered on the same basis as regular submissions.

Special issue manuscripts should follow all standard formatting and content requirements outlined in our author guidelines.
