Biomedical Applications

of nanoparticles Nanoparticles are microscopic particles typically ranging in size between 1-100 nanometers in diameter. They possess unique properties which make them suitable for many applications in the biomedical field, such as drug delivery systems, cancer therapies, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, diagnostic imaging agents, and medical devices. Their small size and surface chemistry can be tailored to enable them to interact with cells and enable controlled release of drugs or other materials, as well as to be used for imaging and diagnostics. Nanoparticles are of great importance in medicine, as they enable improved therapeutic and diagnostic outcomes, enabling higher efficacy and safety for a wide range of treatments.
