Osteoarthritis Rehabilitation

Osteoarthritis rehabilitation is an important part of care for people with osteoarthritis, a joint disorder characterized by the breakdown of the cartilage that cushions the ends of bones. Rehabilitation involves a range of activities to reduce pain and disability, optimize joint health, and improve physical function. Exercise, manual therapy, education, and self-management strategies are some of the key components of this rehabilitation. People can improve their quality of life with rehabilitation, as well as reduce their need for medication and surgery. Osteoarthritis rehabilitation can also help to prevent the long-term consequences of the disease, such as mobility impairment and decreased physical activity.
