Reviewer Registration

A clear route for qualified researchers and clinicians who wish to be considered for peer-review invitations relevant to JCRHAP’s HIV research scope.

Who this route is for

JCRHAP welcomes prospective reviewers with relevant academic, clinical or research experience in the journal’s field. Reviewers should be able to assess methods and evidence, give fair and constructive feedback, and handle confidential material responsibly.

Relevant expertise

Experience should be relevant to the manuscript’s subject, methods or clinical and research context.

Independent judgement

Reviewers disclose relevant conflicts of interest and accept invitations only when they can provide an unbiased assessment.

Professional conduct

Feedback should be specific, evidence-based and respectful of authors, participants and communities affected by HIV.

Important

Creating a ManuscriptZone account does not guarantee reviewer approval, a manuscript assignment, an editorial role, a certificate or other recognition. Reviewer suitability is considered by the editorial team in relation to relevant expertise, independence and manuscript need.

Decline promptly when a fair and useful review is not possible.

Disclose relevant conflicts of interest before accepting a manuscript.

Do not use unpublished information for personal research or share it outside the approved review process.

Provide evidence-based, respectful and constructive comments.
