Call for Papers

JCRHAP welcomes original, clinically relevant research that advances HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention, care and public health.

Research with a clear HIV/AIDS contribution

Submissions should make their clinical, scientific or public-health relevance to HIV/AIDS explicit. Use the Aims & Scope to confirm fit before preparing the manuscript.

JCRHAP considers original research, reviews, case reports and short communications across HIV/AIDS clinical care, prevention science, virology, immunology, epidemiology and public health.

Research areas

The page retains the current HIV-focused areas while making the fit decision easier to scan.

Clinical HIV research

Antiretroviral therapy, drug resistance, co-infections, opportunistic infections, long-term outcomes, and paediatric or adolescent care.

Prevention science

Pre-exposure and post-exposure prophylaxis, behavioural interventions, harm reduction, prevention in key populations, and prevention of vertical transmission.

Virology and immunology

HIV virology, molecular biology, host immune responses, viral reservoirs and latency, cure research, vaccine development, and broadly neutralising antibodies.

Epidemiology and public health

Epidemiology, surveillance, testing and linkage to care, access to care, stigma-reduction interventions, adherence, retention, and implementation research.

Article types

Choose the form that reflects the purpose and maturity of the work, then check the detailed requirements before submission.

Original research

Full reports of novel findings in clinical HIV research, prevention studies, or basic-science investigations.

Review articles

Critical syntheses of current knowledge that identify evidence gaps and future research directions.

Case reports

Clinically significant cases that contribute to HIV/AIDS care and clinical practice.

Short communications

Brief reports of preliminary findings, novel methods, negative results, or confirmatory studies.

Prepare before you submit

Confirm the information that allows an editor to assess the manuscript fairly and efficiently.
