- PhD in Biochemistry for the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Master's Degree in Toxicological Biochemistry by the Federal University of Santa Maria. Graduated inrnBiological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.
- The expertise fields in Biochemistry are emphasized in Molecular Biology, working mainly inrnthe following subjects: monoaminergic neurotransmitters biosynthesis and degradation pathways, oxidative metabolism, oxidative stress, oxidative stress evaluation,rnlongevity, aging genetics, natural bioactive compounds, characterization of redox-active profile in medicinal plants and neuroprotection.
